Eligibility Criteria- AFCAT Exam 2016

Educational Qualification:-
1. For Commissioned Officer (Flying Branch) Post:-
  • Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks and Maths and Physics at 10+2 Class level OR
  • BE/ B.Tech Degree from recognized university with 60% marks.
2. For Commissioned Officer (Technical Branch) Post:-
Candidates who are possessing Degree in BE/B.Tech in Aeronautical, Mechanical and Electronic engineering from recognized University/Institute with 60% marks are eligible to apply.
3. For Commissioned Officer (Ground Duty Branches) Post:-
  • Graduate Degree with 60% marks OR
  • Post Graduate Degree with 50% marks in CA/ ICWA/ M. Com
Selection Procedure:-
1. For Commissioned Officer (Flying Branch):-
  • Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)
  • Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT)
2. For Commissioned Officer (Technical Branch):-
  • Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)
  • Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT)
3. For Commissioned Officer (Ground Duty Branches):-
  • Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)
Application Fee:-
Eligible Candidates don’t need to pay any amount for application fee.
How to Apply for AFCAT Exam 2016-17 :-
Procedure to apply for AFCAT Exam 2016 to join Indian Air Force are described below in steps-
  • Eligible candidates are required to start online registration by visit official career website of Indian Air Force i.e. http://www.careerairforce.nic.in.
  • Now, Click on the “Candidate Login” option.
  • Fill all the fundamental details of applicant like academic details, family details etc.
  • Upload the passport size colour photograph.
  • Now, submit the button and note down the registration number for further references.
  • At last, take the print out application form.
